Microsoft has gone one step ahead in making the deployment of exchange 2010 easier for exchange administrators with the release of Exchange 2010 Deployment Assistant.
The tool allows you to create Exchange 2010 on-premises deployment instructions that are customized to your environment. The Assistant asks a small set of questions and based on a your answers, it provides a finite set of instructions that are designed to get you up and running on Exchange 2010. At the moment, only upgrade from exchange 2003 is supported in the tool. Other options like upgrade from 2007, mixed environment with 2003 & 2007 and fresh deployment will be made available soon.
Below is a preview of the set of questions asked while using the tool.
